Can you rely on Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an integral part of western society and many people matured with this magical icon. Recently I came upon the idea that Santa represents a distinctive archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is defined as an inherited memory represented in the mind with a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching of these symbolic images on this dear old man I saw that which Santa Claus means may also be used to motivate us in creating for your new year. I see him as being a fun-loving guy that literally brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes come true. Within this season we are filled with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, as well as the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I find that santa in your house reflects several archetypes. He can be viewed inside the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as to think that a greater day lies ahead. He or she is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith as well as the trust that will probably be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not really from the exercise of power that is the motive, although the drive to bestow care on those who want it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He or she is about giving to others fulfilling the requirements. And that he fails to request anything in turn except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He is apparently an excellent guy, settling on who turns into a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. When we are good and when we believe, Santa will make sure we receive everything we want.
A substantial part of Santa’s story is the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney through the touch of his nose along with his yearly trek world wide. And in addition, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and enjoy to all, one child’s heart at the same time. Santa may be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to get new means of dealing, being and succeeding.
When we are coming up with our dreams, our visions, and our options for 2010, let’s all make sure you use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. As you may have chosen after which more clearly defined your options in creating your 2010 Journey, use this strategy to shift your beliefs and allowing of that particular that you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from an adult part of trying to force, worrying over and wondering how things can change, for the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. A vital part of the skill of Allowing would be to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings permits us to available to the Infinite Probabilities of the Universe.
Then too, we are able to liken Santa’s management techniques to a universal manager. Could you envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, in only one night? And all on time and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe are capable of doing for people like us, whenever we transform it to God/Source. In the book “Ask & It Is Given” among the Proven Processes is catchusanta it over to the manager. As we set our goals, it’s like delegating into a Universal Manager. So when we step back, and let the Universe set things set up, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not stopping choices, we’re merely turning over all the information and creating our choices.
I urge you to focus on giving over to your Universal Manager all the things you are feeling you should do in this holiday week. You’ll believe it is amazing that as we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve done this personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all the chores I feel I have to do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, and some just don’t seem so important. I’ve had situations when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to accomplish some of the baking. I’ve learned to accept help and reply by using a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in all aspects of life, not merely the holidays. Legal Requirements of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that needs to afflict bring me my desires, Now.
